About
ChromaCalm is a holistic wellbeing experience that combines intentional colour, guided meditation, and nervous system awareness to support emotional regulation and inner clarity.
Rooted in the power of creative expression and the mind-body connection, ChromaCalm invites you to explore how colour can help you shift emotional states, restore balance, and reconnect with your inner rhythm, returning to a more integrated, embodied sense of self.

My journey with dynamic colour began over 20 years ago through artistic expression. I was experimenting with colour-changing inks and created a wearble sculpture, a grief shroud, that shifted from black to white through the warmth of touch, a symbolic process that revealed the therapeutic potential of colour, presence and emotional release.
That moment became the seed of inquiry into the emotional and somatic language of colour.
Over the years, I worked as an artist and designer specialising in sensory-responsive materials, collaborating with artists around the world to help them realise their visions through thermochromic inks and other dynamic, sensory media.
But I felt called to explore something deeper:
How could this work not just express emotion, but help transform it?
That question led me to pursue a dual Master’s in Global Innovation Design at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, where I began developing ChromaCalm as a design research outcome for emotional regulation and nervous system support through sensory design and embodied reflection.
At the same time, I began a personal journey practicing Kundalini Yoga, and exploring Carl Jung's work and his understanding of the unconscious, archetypal symbolism and individuation, and the deeper role of the subconscious in healing. I’ve since completed Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry training for my own self-reflective pratice and am currently training as a certified meditation and breathwork practitioner, all of which have shaped the holding, awareness, and intention behind the ChromaCalm experience.
ChromaCalm is not about colour theory.
It’s a way of listening to your emotions, your body, your inner language and allowing that language to be seen, felt, and softened through colour.
FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the living paint work?
The thermochromic, sensory paint shifts its colours in response to warmth and touch, creating an ever-changing interactive experience that allows you to release or reinforce emotions visually. It’s known as “living paint” because it feels almost alive, dynamically shifting and transitioning in response to the environment.
Is this workshop suitable for beginners?
Yes, ChromaCalm is designed for all levels. Whether you’re new to meditation or experienced, the workshop is crafted to support you.
How does colour affect emotional well-being?
Scientific research shows that colours influence the nervous system and mood, however not necesarily universally. Which is why this workshop explores colours unuique to you by working with the subconscious mind, helping you explore and identify the colours that promote calm and balance according to your symbolic language.
Can I use my artefact in daily rituals?
Absolutely. The artefact can be used in home practices like breathing exercises and meditation. Techniques like 4-7-8 breathing can activate the paint’s colour transitions, symbolising emotional release and grounding.
